Fuchsia Dance Company is an Indian classical dance collective of up-and-coming artists based in the Bay Area, California. Established in 2020, Fuchsia is committed to the diversification of Indian classical dance. Using Bharatanatyam, the team collaboratively explores traditional art through contemporary themes, including climate change, education access, and cross-cultural belonging. Fuchsia’s presentations have storytelling at its core, communicated through its energetic and synchronized ensemble.

Fuchsia has showcased original work as part of esteemed platforms, including TedXBerkeley, Rotary, and Prayukti Arts. Fuchsia frequently collaborates with recognized organizations worldwide, notably OSAAT (One School At A Time), Project Morph, and Feeding America, using the transformative power of art to drive advocacy and fundraising efforts. Through hosting educational arts workshops and the annual ‘Growing Roots Dance Festival’, Fuchsia remains committed to empowering young artists by cultivating a supportive and purposeful arts community.
